{PARTY FEATURE} A Beautiful Afternoon Tea party by Little Birdie Events

Little Birdie Events submitted this really pretty afternoon tea party. I love all the sweet details, the delicious treats and the pretty styling! As told by Little Birdie Events.

"The idea of this event was to host a low-key, but beautiful afternoon tea
for my closest girlfriends prior to the birth of my baby girl, Lulu, in July. Cath Kidston's fresh vintage roses fabrics inspired us. We found similar fabrics, which we placed in white frames to form part of the backdrop. The other part of the backdrop included pom poms attached the wall, appearing like large flowers in different shades of pink.

Food on the table included: - Turkish delight cheesecake; Vanilla bean, strawberry, and passionfruit mini cupcakes; Marshmallow hearts (heart-shaped marshmallow atop shortbread dipped in dark couverture chocolate); Shortbread hearts (*Jocelyn's Provisions *- Beautiful cakes, patisserie items, and fine quality ingredients and pantry items in Brisbane) - Petit four strawberry tarts; Chouquettes (*Chouquette* - Amazing authentic French patisserie in Brisbane) - Rosewater and violet macarons (*In A Pickle* - Delicious family-inspired fine food in Brisbane) - Rose petal Turkish delight; Rose petal raahat (nougat); Rose pashmak (Persian fairy floss) (*Pariya* - Gorgeous Persian sweets) - Strawberry bon bons; Sherbert flying saucés - Old-fashioned candy sticks; yellow mini sugar hearts (Little Big Company) We drank lemon green iced tea from a beautiful drink dispenser, as well as white tea with rose, and peppermint tea with lavender.

Details included the decorated mini glass bottles for the iced tea, the various fabrics used as the tablecloths and backdrop, paper lanterns tied to the chairs, and beautiful fragrant roses. The stationery we designed was inspired by Loralee Lewis' Vintage Tea Party Collection ( http://www.loraleelewis.com/store/pc/Vintage-Tea-Party-Collection-Pink-c666.htm) (she was unfortunately away at the time we required to make stationery for the event). Our friend and photographer, Emma (of E. V. O'Neill Photography), photographed the dessert table and details for us.
